my roll of 120 fuji film i had loaded into my holga did not roll up tight enough when i was done with it, ruining about 8 photos from portland and some from this weekend. however, some of the light leak made gorgeous designs, i though. so i'm doing a series called fuji makes bad film.

no offense but its not the film. you should know how to load film into your camera.

film was loaded and unloaded properly. the damage was done because the wind was not tight on the film after rolling it thoroughly after shooting, which actually deals more with the mechanism holding the film than the film itself but nevertheless not a human error.

i would agree with Watermedown cus i made that mistake a few times, but i believe you. Anyway, the results are very pretty. Love this serie!

cheers..

this is such a rad series!
there is something really amazing, and very spooky about these photos!!
i have a facination with accidental photography. i actually collect the ruined photos from people, who would otherwise just chuck them out.
i have a few in my gallery, if you are bothered or interested to check em out!!

but again... great job with these (even though it was out of your control!!)

Fantastic idea! Sometimes the best stuff comes out of accidents.

PS, if you want to stop this happening, pack a little cardboard from your film box under the spools to keep a bit more tension on them.
